The Planning Department recently received the January 1, 1999 (revised) and 2000 population and housing estimates for Anaheim from the State Department of Finance (DOF). Listed below are the growth adjustments that occurred during said time periods:
The 2000 population estimate is 310,654, which is .9% higher than the 1999 revised population estimate of 306,749 (original estimate was 306,298 before the revision).
The housing units estimate for 2000 is 99,939, which is .6% higher than the 1999 (not revised) housing units estimate 99,351.
The persons per household ratio for Anaheim increased slightly to 3.261 for 2000 as compared to the revised 3,249 in 1999 (original estimate was 3.233 before the revision).
Anaheim remains the tenth largest city in the State.
