New Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) Begins Service!

The new Anaheim Resort Transit fleet or ART as it is called will provide Anaheim Resort visitors shuttle service between hotels, tourist attractions and the Anaheim Convention Center. The fleet is comprised of ten electric buses, two electric trams, and 25 propane trolleys. The full fleet is expected to be in operation by January 2002. Operation of the Anaheim Resort Transit fleet will be the responsibility of the Anaheim Transportation Network, a local non-profit transportation management association. Over $ 8.2 million was raised by the community to put in place this unified resort-oriented guest transit system. Pacific Coast Sightseeing Tours and Charters contributed over $ 3 million toward this total, with acquisition of its propane-powered clean fuel fleet. The rest of the funding comes from the Anaheim Public Utilities Anaheim Advantage Services, Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee, Air Quality Management District, and the State of California.

Disney’s Electrical Parade is Back!

We are pleased to announce the return of Disney's Electrical Parade! On July 4th, 2001 Disney’s California Adventure Park, the all-new 55 acre theme park right next door to Disneyland, flipped the switch and brought everyone's favorite Disney parade out of retirement. It has been five years since its last performance down Main Street USA back in 1996. All your favorite characters and floats will be back to dance and sing to the familiar theme music as they light up the night with over 500,000 brilliantly colored lights.

Now You Can Park Hop With Your Three-Day Flex Pass!

Big news from Disney. See the best of both Disney Parks: Disneyland & Disney's California Adventure, when you purchase a three-day Flex Passport. Previously only holders of the four-day Flex Passport were able to "park hop". So if you are coming for multiple days and want to attend both Disney Parks during the same day, save yourself some money and purchase a 3-day or 4-day Flex Passport. Flex passports are sold at selected hotels and outlets in Anaheim. Flex passes are not available at the Disney front gate. All previously issued 3- and 4-day tickets will be accepted at the Disneyland Resort's park gates as "hopping tickets." This means that guests traveling with previously issued tickets and travel documents will be able to enjoy this desired "hopping" feature immediately, without the need to exchange tickets. "We're looking forward to an exciting summer season, with our evening entertainment spectaculars at Disneyland-Fantasmic! and the Believe fireworks show-and the premiere of Disney's Electrical Parade at Disney's California Adventure," Cynthia Harriss, Disneyland Resort President said. Since its expansion, the Disneyland Resort now offers over 85 attractions, 21 shows, three major parades, 70 restaurants and 91 shops. "It can easily take at least three days to see everything here, so our multi-day park hopping tickets are absolutely the best way to experience everything we have to offer," Harriss said. Disneyland Resort Park Hopping tickets are priced: 3-Day - $ 111 regular/$ 87 child 3-9; 4-Day - $ 137 regular/ $ 107 child 3-9. (Park Hopping tickets of greater length are also available.) Disneyland Resort Park Hopping tickets are available at select Disney Stores and at the Disneyland Resort main ticket booths, as well as through the Walt Disney Travel Company, other tour wholesalers, AAA offices, and contracted Southern California hotels.

Universal Studios Hollywood Opens "Nickelodeon Blast Zone"

At almost 30,000 square feet, it will be the site of the biggest and most interactive playground in Los Angeles. Based on Nickelodeon's most popular children's shows including "The Rugrats," "Sponge Bob's Square Pants," "Angry Beavers," "Rocket Power," "The Wild Thornberry's Adventure," and "Blue's Clues," the Nickelodeon Blast Zone will be a multi-attraction adventure featuring elaborate water play areas, an indoor ball play arena, a special Rugrats show, and a playground for toddlers.
